From the entrance at the car park below the Palace Friedrichstein a path carved into the Dolomite rock leads into a high underground vault, the central exhibition room of the Lapidarium.
In this surrounding the presentation of stones that are found in the area of Bad Wildungen (foothills of the Rhine Slate Mountains) seems atmospherically tight.
The exhibition is not bad at all.
Greywacke, rock clay, lump chalk, ores and so on give an overview about the geological development especially interesting are of course the in stone enclosed fossils.
